Description
"It hurts...My nightmare has over..
Why can't you just go away?
I just want to forget..."
Started as a personal emotive fantasy, but turned to be a long and hard practice. Couldn't make up my mind for the background and there was problem with the lighting. So glad it's done.

Photoshop, forgot how long since there's many backtracking, rest, and continue, but definitely more than 2 weeks.

Concept:Strong |
Technical Skill:Strong |
Impact/impression:Average |
Pros:Both the theme and the execution are good. I don't see anything wrong with the anatomy or the lighting. The butterflies look great too, especially the two big ones on the right. The scar looks great too, and the orchids are just mindblowing!
Cons:The blood flowing from the wound looks a little bit weird. I think it looks too smeared, I'm not sure what's wrong with it. But still it can pass for blood even though if you look at blood dripping from a wound it won't really look that way.
The only real problem I got with this is the tree in the background, I think it looks kind of squeezed into the composition. I would've liked it to either play a more prominent role in the composition or not be there at all, be replaced by some more bushes or something. As of now it looks distracting in my opinion, and that eats up some of the overall impact of the painting. Overall opinion/feedback:All in all, a great painting, a really beautiful artwork with some minor issues. In spite of the things mentioned, it's easy to see your talent.

- I like his haircut, and the way you painted it looks midway between realism and comics. but it's very well done.
- I think the arm is too long.
- The foliage, flowers, butterflies and overall background are very well rendered. the drapery is very well done too.
- the guy looks sad, or misunderstanding maybe? Very good work.

The light coming from above is very beautiful, rendering some nice shadows on his skin.
Why is his scar butterfly shaped? maybe this is to suggest that it was something small, seemingly tame and harmless, that hurt him?
