A solitary immortal spirit, he sleeps during the rest of the year and woke up at winter. With the snowflake charm he called upon snow.

Winter Prince is a character that's been hanging on the back of my had for the past few months.
At first I was going to make him a cold and distant character but found that it didn't suit the theme. He's still a solitary figure, but it's because of his role as the guardian of winter.

After a dozen sketches and 2 unfinished paintings, I finally settle on this one. It's been hard realizing the concept. Even now there's still so much I want to work on, but the deadline is near and I got to call it quit ^^. Thank you for everyone who had helped me in the WIP thread: Winter Prince

Wow but it's totally different now! Very nice and there's so much more energy than the first versions. I like the lighting on the arms, it inspire me.

very nice overall. You have captured that magical winter feeling. I would make the snow less round though...a bit rougher.

Wouldn't the falling snowflakes be much smaller? I live in Florida, so I don't know much about snow, but they just seem too big. xD!
The rest of the picture is awesome, though, I love the gathering snow on his thumb. ^^!

I don't understand why there aren't more comments for this painting, coz it's a masterpiece IMO, your best do far. I really like it. I know you put a lot of effort into it and I reckon it deserves a little bit more attention. I'd like to be able to vote again.... +10

Very good choice of colors. The texture is also nicely rendered. I really like how crystal snowflake lights the hands. My only remark is that the thumb on his right hand seems a bit too hidden and may appear a little awkward if you stare closer.
