Description

A commission for a dark romance novel cover titled "Nothing Is As It Seems"
Based from the book's excerpt, about the painting the main character drew when he was in prison.
The main character's face was based loosely on CK model Travis Fimmel (my client asked for this, and she was really satisfied)
The project took longer than I thought, though mainly because it was the end of term ^^, lucky for me it wasn't a hurried one.

She didn't ask for the title, I was just having fun, wanted to know how it will look as a cover, but when I showed it to her, she said she like it and going to put it on her website.

His hands do look a lil bit small, I hope this painting doesnt give away the ending becuase he is bleeding pretty bad it seems.

I love the moodiness of it, however, I don't like how the wall is grey, it makes the image look dull, but then again, prisons aren't exactly Disneyland.

Nice mood

The clothing seems a little plastic though and the sleeves don't hang right, but that would probably look better if the hands were the right size.

Hi everyone, thanks for the comments and crits. Yeah, I noticed the arm. That's mostly because it supposed to be drawn back a little, againts the wall, but the highlight on the sleeves are too much, so it's like the arm's too short and small.

Nice work. I think the folds look plastic, yet a little unrealistic because they're wavy... like sea waves, especially on his shirt. They look like heavy velvet rather than the typical prison uniform.
But what's really good - his face. I love it.
