Description
A college assignment I just finished. Making an agenda using arts and crafts design style. The time is only a month, so I can't be too detail, otherwise it won't finish.This is the front cover art.
The concept is based on DKV (Desain Komunikasi Visual) / Visual Communication Design major.
Tree = brainstorming
Rooted from one concept, branches into many;
Leaves = thumbnails and tight tissues
Fruit = Final design, which is enjoyed by
Birds and Squirells = Target Market, in their own;
World Environment = Market Environment.
Flowers = The beauty of visual communication design.
Gold color = Rich
Rich in colors, I mean.

Artwork seems intricate and is very well done.
I would have given the treea bit of breathing space by increasing the distance between it and the borders.
I am not sure about the typo.

"A college assignment I just finished. Making an agenda using arts and crafts design style. The time is only a month, so I can't be too detail, otherwise it won't finish."
- Well, that is longer than I've ever gotten to work on a project before!
"The concept is based on DKV (Desain Komunikasi Visual) / Visual Communication Design major. "
- Visual Communications is about communicating ideas, subjects, etc using visuals. I see nothing being communicated here to me. I see a tree and earth, its creatures, and some perdy colors. I keep staring at it, and I do not see what this cover is supposed to be showing me! You can use a craft style to show something other than nature. Granted, if you wanted to use nature, use it more creatively to communicate with us - because I fail to see the punchline here.
I fail to see these on my own. With you mentioning them, I still disagree with some:
"Tree = brainstorming (how so? trees take lifetimes to grow, thats a VERY slow brainstorming session don't you think?)
Leaves = thumbnails and tight tissues (does it?)
Fruit = Final design, which is enjoyed by
Birds and Squirells = Target Market, in their own; (fruit is grown to reproduce the tree, not essentially to be eaten by creatures. the target market for the fruit is the ground, so the seeds can spread)
World Environment = Market Environment.
Flowers = The beauty of visual communication design.
Gold color = Rich (rich in what?, money?, ideas?, greed?)"
- Also, the flower border is a duplicate of a single flower. The arts and crafts design style would never duplicate a flower. They always hand draw a new one. You just flipped them according to which side they were on... but they're the exact same flower. You've shown so much delicate attention to detail in the tree, so for you to not draw a unique flower each time shows...bad skill in design, not to be the "same throughout".
Pls feel free to msg me if you have any disputes and pls take my crit as ernest advice to help you improve in your design ideas.
+5.... (+1 for the design, +9 for the technical aspect, the overall image = +5 overall)
